  • Why worry? NET Anxiety Screening Event

    Net is pleased to offer a mental health screening event to focus on anxiety and worry and to reduce the stigma in this area. We will provide screens on anxiety along with helpful information about coping skills for anxiety. We will also have members of our nursing team available to do blood pressure screenings and provide information on mental well-being and physical health.

    Adolescent Support Group

    NAMI Philadelphia is excited to launch its Adolescent Support Group! This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance. This group will be facilitated by Ailkhees Ponton (aponton@namiphilly.org) and John Pillar (jpillar@bdo.com).     UrStorytellers collaborates with the City Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS) to conduct a training session on storytelling. This training is a mandatory prerequisite that is a part of the Certified Peer Specialist application process.
