The theme, Healing Together: Faith, Wellness & Belonging, reflects our collective desire to address the realities of violence, isolation, division, grief, and growing mental health challenges while highlighting the importance of community care, belonging, partnership, and access to support. Throughout the day, participants will engage conversations on youth wellness, family relationships, community safety, reentry, faith leadership, accountability, and access to care. The summit will also launch Connected for Care: A Masjid Mental Wellness Partnership Initiative, a new effort designed to strengthen relationships between Philadelphia mosques and trusted mental wellness professionals.

Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know, firsthand, how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. The groups are open to anyone 18 years or older who is grieving a loss due to suicide. No pre-registration is required, but you are welcome to send an email to let us know that you might attend. This project seeks to promote mental health and wellness in partnership with Representative Joseph Hohenstein’s Office by increasing access to and awareness of the behavioral health, mental health, addiction services offered by DBHIDS and various treatment providers. With the addition of hands-on gardening opportunities, it gives all community members, regardless of accessibility needs, the ability to connect to nature and be in touch with ‘roots’ and encourage overall physical and mental wellness.
