A day of Empowerment, Connection and Self-Care Join us for a FREE one-day conference at Temple University in Philadelphia with keynote speaker Poet and Advocate LeDerick Horne. Overdose Prevention and Reversal Training
*Trigger Warning*: This training involves detailed discussions of drug use, overdoses, and demonstrations on how to use Narcan. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov This training provides background information and data on opioid use, Philadelphia's drug supply, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone, or Narcan. NAMI Philadelphia is excited to launch its Adolescent Support Group! This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance.
