Job Seekers will have the opportunity to hear from employees and formally interview. A portion of the job fair will be dedicated to questions, resume submission, interviews, and scheduling of future interviews. This will facilitate access to employment without the barriers that can sometimes exist in the traditional process.

Out of the Darkness Community Walk is the largest fundraising event yearly for the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. AFSP is the largest non-profit fundraiser for suicide prevention research in the US, and provides free education, resources, and programming to the community every day. In collaboration with the Netter Center, Penn Adolescent Medicine will be hosting a Family Frisbee Festival on Sunday October 13th, 10am-12pm at Franklin Field on Penn's campus. The event information will be shared widely with our University-Assisted Community School communities as well as other West Philadelphia partners. The purpose of the event is to HAVE FUN learning frisbee skills with the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA) and also to raise awareness about the health and wellness resources in West Philadelphia! Net is pleased to offer a mental health screening event to focus on anxiety and worry and to reduce the stigma in this area. We will provide screens on anxiety along with helpful information about coping skills for anxiety. We will also have members of our nursing team available to do blood pressure screenings and provide information on mental well-being and physical health.
