The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. (The Council) will offer the Supporting Youth Recovery: Peer Paraprofessional Certificate in Supporting Youth Recovery program. Unique to this program is the enhanced version of Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) approved standardized Recovery Specialist (RS) Training to prepare peer paraprofessionals to include addressing the unmet behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with a substance use disorder (SUD) and their families to provide RS to youth and young adults in recovery from a SUD and their families.

The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group is a group to help loss survivors cope, connect, and work toward healing. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know firsthand how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. KenCCID (Kensington Community Corporation for Individual Dignity) and Sharing Excess will be co-hosting a free food pop-up from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. The pop-up event will be held in the parking lot of KenCCID’s headquarters at 9350 Ashton Road in Northeast Philadelphia. Resource Fair held by the Philadelphia School District for families that are looking for more information about Autism. Child Guidance Resource Centers will be on site providing information about their services as well as providing free mental health screening opportunities! This is the 13th Annual Autism Expo Resource Fair, sponsored by the Office of Special Education and Diverse Learners. The mission of our resource fair is to offer parents and families an opportunity to network with providers who specialize in resources for students with disabilities.

To empower Senior Citizens through exposure to governmental agencies, non-profits, medical and mental health agencies, and care-giving agencies that can help them to manage the intricacies of their lives. Participants can engage in breakout sessions on mental health, diabetes, hypertension, and other health issues. There will be information employment, housing, life insurance, wills, and estates, nutrition, and diet and more. There will be healthy refreshments.
