Senior Summit: Seniors Count
To empower Senior Citizens through exposure to governmental agencies, non-profits, medical and mental health agencies, and care-giving agencies that can help them to manage the intricacies of their lives. Participants can engage in breakout sessions on mental health, diabetes, hypertension, and other health issues. There will be information employment, housing, life insurance, wills, and estates, nutrition, and diet and more. There will be healthy refreshments. Comhar will be onsite and will provide free bheavioral health screenings and resources for well-being
Black Woman Wellness Fair & Expo
A free event that will provide resource tables and panel discussion topics that significantly impact black women - maternal health, donor awareness, long-term covid, etc. Community Council Health Systems will provide free mental health screenings.
Penn Medicine Nurses Week Community Day
To celebrate Nurses Week Penn Medicine hosts an annual health fair where health care workers, community partners and volunteers engage with local residents to share resources and raise awareness on important health topics. Featured this year will be: hands on CPR training, Narcan overdose reversal training, cooking demonstrations, health screenings, Vetri Mobile Teaching Kitchen, prizes, and more. Hall Mercer and Penn Presby will be providing Behavioral Health screenings
ConsentFest 2023
ConsentFest is an outdoors, all-ages celebration of consent and bodily autonomy in all its forms! The event invites people to imagine a world where consent is a priority. Activities include: •Wedge Recovery Centers will be doing Behavioral Health Screenings •Face painting •Animals to pet (with consent!) •Vendors selling merchandise from earrings to children’s books, body oils to greeting cards •Live music •Consent-based bodywork/massage •Lil Pop Shop popsicles! •Drag queen Storytime •Community organizers sharing how their various campaigns are part of building consent culture •Lots of organizations committed to consent education [...]
