Engaging Males of Color’s (EMOC) 9th Annual International Men’s Day

International Men’s Day is a worldwide intention to recognize, celebrate, and honor the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and their communities. This year, DBHIDS’ EMOC will be orchestrating a virtual event set to raise awareness of men’s well-being and specifically highlight the importance of positive role models with the theme, “Pillars of Hope: How Mentorship Shaped Us.” Register in advance for this event: https://cbhphilly-org.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJErduyrrT0iHd1fkNGaGl-helF4hH0IrfxU After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Motivational Interviewing

This course lays the foundation for analyzing motivation: the psychological feature that drives a person to action toward a desired goal; the reason for the action; that which gives purpose and direction to behavior. Through presentations, groups discussions and other virtual engaging activities, participants will learn to apply Motivational Interviewing skills to the work they do with peer services recipients and other individuals they interact with in their daily live. Motivational Interviewing skills are beneficial to everyone in their daily lives. Sponsored by DBHIDS
