    Join us as community members, providers, and DBHIDS staff come together to create paper rings that reflect their recovery journeys. As part of 'Changing the Narrative', this activity uplifts voices and helps reduce stigma around behavioral health. These rings will be featured in an interactive Parking Day 2026 installation, inviting neighbors to add affirmations and connect through shared resilience.

    This project seeks to promote mental health and wellness in partnership with Representative Joseph Hohenstein’s Office by increasing access to and awareness of the behavioral health, mental health, addiction services offered by DBHIDS and various treatment providers. With the addition of hands-on gardening opportunities, it gives all community members, regardless of accessibility needs, the ability to connect to nature and be in touch with ‘roots’ and encourage overall physical and mental wellness.
