Storytelling is a training facilitated by UrStorytellers in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants seeking to become a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. CCTC is hosting its annual Fall Family Festival where there will be many providers & community organizations providing information on health & wellness, resources for families and much more. There will be fun activities for children such as games, dancing, and arts & crafts. CCTC will also have clinicians conducting Behavioral Health Screenings for children to help determine if further evaluations are necessary.
