This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance. This group will be facilitated by Ailkhees Ponton (aponton@namiphilly.org) and John Pillar (jpillar@bdo.com). The goal of this meeting is convene the community to share relevant updates and information, and elevate the importance of suicide prevention through advocacy and awareness. The Philadelphia Suicide Prevention Task Force (SPTF) convenes a diverse group of researchers, clinicians, behavioral health providers, community members, and individuals with lived experience. The SPTF acts as an advisory group that guides suicide prevention efforts through a collaborative, cross-systems approach.

Problem Gambling Prevention Conference main goal is to bring awareness and education to the current state of gambling, promote responsible gambling and provide resources for individual who may need help with gambling related problems. Prevention strategies often focus on identifying and addressing risk factors. This year’s theme of “nourish your wellbeing”, promote overall health and wellbeing by strengthening protective factors and building resiliency. The breakout session allows attendees to practice and develop coping mechanisms and obtain other tools that will prevent gambling harms. |
