Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training
PRO-ACT, Philadelphia Recovery Training Center 520 Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, United StatesUrStorytellers collaborates with the City Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS) to conduct a training session on storytelling. This training is a mandatory prerequisite that is a part of the Certified Peer Specialist application process. The main objective is to educate the recovery and faith-based communities on effectively sharing their narratives within community environments. The training, lasting 4 hours, will be presented in a PowerPoint format with interactive elements to enrich the learning experience. Drop-In Grief Support Group (Virtual)
This group meets twice a month (the first and third Thursday in the month) and is open to all people that have lost a loved one to substance use. There is no mandatory attendance and is a space dedicated to those looking for more support while navigating their grief.
