TJUH’s MATER Annual Behavioral Health Screening Event
Staff from TJUH's Family Center will have a table set up at the Jefferson Center for Mater's Second Annual Conference: Nothing About Us Without Us to provide behavioral health screenings for conference participants. Participants will be given mental health information, resources and referrals as needed based on the results of their screenings
Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training
Philadelphia Recovery Community Center 1701 W Lehigh Ave, PhiladelphiaStorytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. Widener Transition Fair
The Transitional Services & Career Exploration Fair will take place at Widener Memorial School on April 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event will feature resource tables with agencies providing services for career exploration, independent living, and transitional support for young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The goal is to connect Widener students and families to resources that ensure a successful transition from school to adulthood. We aim to educate attendees about this process and provide access to the best tools and support available.
7th District: Budget Town Hall Meeting
At the One Philly 2.0 Budget Town Halls, residents will hear a brief overview of the $6.7 Billion FY26 Budget proposal from Mayor Parker and have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with local government.* Additionally, attendees can connect with dozens of City, state, and federal agencies and service providers.
