That's why we're doing our part to bring the community together in our family strengthening efforts, to promote mental health awareness and link our local youth to safe, structured activities like summer camps, summer jobs, and apprenticeships. Intercommunity Action will provide behavioral health screenings.

    The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. (The Council) will offer the Supporting Youth Recovery: Peer Paraprofessional Certificate in Supporting Youth Recovery program. Unique to this program is the enhanced version of Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) approved standardized Recovery Specialist (RS) Training to prepare peer paraprofessionals to include addressing the unmet behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with a substance use disorder (SUD) and their families to provide RS to youth and young adults in recovery from a SUD and their families.

    TRIGGER is both a call to understanding and a call to action about the roles each of us has to play in combating the gun violence epidemic in Philadelphia and beyond. Featuring storytellers from Philadelphia sharing their lived experiences with gun violence and their shared search for hope with a vengeance, this documentary is a catalyst for immediate discussion. A talk back will occur directly after the viewing of the film. Merakey will be in attendance and will be providing Behavioral Health Screenings.
