    Adolescent Support Group

    NAMI Philadelphia is excited to launch its Adolescent Support Group! This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance. This group will be facilitated by Ailkhees Ponton (aponton@namiphilly.org) and John Pillar (jpillar@bdo.com).   • Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group – 2nd Wednesday

    The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Groups help loss survivors cope, connect, and work toward healing. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know, firsthand, how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. The groups are open to anyone 18 years or older who is grieving a loss due to suicide. No pre-registration is required, but you are welcome to send an email to let us know that you might attend. This event will feature resource tables with agencies providing services for career exploration, independent living, and transitional support for young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The goal is to connect Widener students and families to resources that ensure a successful transition from school to adulthood. We aim to educate attendees about this process and provide access to the best tools and support available.
