    In collaboration with the Netter Center, Penn Adolescent Medicine will be hosting a Family Frisbee Festival on Sunday October 13th, 10am-12pm at Franklin Field on Penn's campus. The event information will be shared widely with our University-Assisted Community School communities as well as other West Philadelphia partners. The purpose of the event is to HAVE FUN learning frisbee skills with the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA) and also to raise awareness about the health and wellness resources in West Philadelphia! Kylie Kelce will be attending as the honorary chairperson.

  • Adolescent Support Group

    Adolescent Support Group

    NAMI Philadelphia is excited to launch its Adolescent Support Group! This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance. This group will be facilitated by Ailkhees Ponton (aponton@namiphilly.org) and John Pillar (jpillar@bdo.com).     Overdose Prevention and Reversal Training

    *Trigger Warning*: This training involves detailed discussions of drug use, overdoses, and demonstrations on how to use Narcan. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov This training provides background information and data on opioid use, Philadelphia's drug supply, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone, or Narcan.
