Women and girls of color in Philadelphia face significant health disparities driven by social determinants of health including limited access to quality care, unsafe environments, financial barriers, and unequal treatment. These inequities contribute to higher rates of maternal mortality, chronic disease, mental and behavioral health challenges, and increased vulnerability to human trafficking.
