DBHIDS DEI Engaging Males of Color is hosting a virtual screening of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award winning documentary A Hope That Lights the Way (HTLW). This is a documentary film developed by Mayor Kenney’s Office of Black Male Engagement and released in the summer of 2023.

This film, which DBHIDS Engaging Males of Color (EMOC) Coordinator Octavius Blount helped produce, addresses the issues of gun violence against men and boys of color in Philadelphia. It premiered at the Franklin Institute and had subsequent community screenings in the fall of 2023.
