Community Day for all to celebrate the Chinese New Year of 2023. Supporting all populations, including clients with language differences. Cambodian, Laotian, Vietnamese, and Chinese Supports will be available. Supplies, Food & Resources will be available. You can also find: Prevention Program, KITHS Inc., The Veterans MultiService Center, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, HUP Cedar, and more! Hall Mercer will be providing Behavioral health screenings.
PPLA is a 10-session course for peers seeking to cultivate leadership skills and help to shape and refine the behavioral health system. Candidate selection is based on their stated commitment to recovery, their motivation, and their interest in the recovery transformation movement. The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. (The Council) will offer the Supporting Youth Recovery: Peer Paraprofessional Certificate in Supporting Youth Recovery program. Unique to this program is the enhanced version of Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) approved standardized Recovery Specialist (RS) Training to prepare peer paraprofessionals to include addressing the unmet behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with a substance use disorder (SUD) and their families to provide RS to youth and young adults in recovery from a SUD and their families.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov This training provides background information and data on opioid use, Philadelphia's drug supply, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone, or Narcan. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know firsthand how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide.
