Supporting Youth Recovery CRS Training Program
Philadelphia Recovery Training Center (PRTC) 520 N. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA, United StatesThe Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. (The Council) will offer the Supporting Youth Recovery: Peer Paraprofessional Certificate in Supporting Youth Recovery program. Unique to this program is the enhanced version of Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) approved standardized Recovery Specialist (RS) Training to prepare peer paraprofessionals to include addressing the unmet behavioral health needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with a substance use disorder (SUD) and their families to provide RS to youth and young adults in recovery from a SUD and their families.

Online , United StatesThe Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group is a group to help loss survivors cope, connect, and work toward healing. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know firsthand how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. Lehigh Ave., Pavilion Unit 6, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesStorytelling is a training facilitated by UrStorytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many approved prerequisites for applicants who want to become Certified Peer Specialists. Philadelphia Sheriff's Office and Catholica Community Services Winter Coat Distribution 1926 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesThe Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office and Catholic Community Services is hosting a winter coat distribution event January 28, 2023 from 10am to 1pm. There will be new coats, hats and gloves for distribution to those who attend the event. Light refreshments will be provided as well as an opportunity to take a free Mental Health Screening assessment provided by DBHIDS and St. Francis and St. Joseph Out-Patient Clinic.
