DBHIDS Certified Peer Specialist Virtual Information Session Join us July 31 from 9:45 a.m. to noon to learn more about Certified Peer Specialist training and state requirements, program overview, Mental Health Partnerships, and volunteer opportunities. Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) identify as having behavioral health challenges (mental health and/or substance use). A CPS supports others in their recovery process. This relationship between peers is one of mutual trust and respect moving toward a more meaningful life in recovery.

This group is for ages 12-17 and meets every Wednesday at 5 pm on the third floor of the Scattergood Building of Friends Hospital. Participants must complete a registration form and provide a signed permission slip before attendance. This group will be facilitated by Ailkhees Ponton (aponton@namiphilly.org) and John Pillar (jpillar@bdo.com). The "Women Elevating Women" event is a free community gathering designed to empower and support women in prioritizing their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This even offers a variety of activities, including workshops, and discussions focused on self-care practices and personal development. The goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where women can come together to learn, connect, and uplift each other. PMHC will participate in the event providing Behavioral Health Screenings and Resources for well-being.

SMZ is hosting a Community Fair themed "Back to Basics" for which the purpose of this event is to affirm our presence and impact to individuals, families, church members and our local community by providing resources to address key issues affecting our society. Specifically, we want to take this opportunity to not only fellowship with our community members, but provide support, resources and materials to encourage spiritual wellness, holistic health and social advancement.
