Storytelling is a training facilitated by UrStorytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Featuring youth, a high school principal, victims, activists, and first responders. A panel discussion will follow. Merakey Total Health will be providing a Heart Health Fair which will offer blood pressure checks, heart health presentation, healthy snacks and more. They will be providing tour of newly renovated facility which will be offering primary medical health care. Merakey Philadelphia Outpatient will be there to conduct mental health screenings for anyone who is interested in learning more about their own mental health and resources that are available for it.
