DBHIDS Trauma 102
Trauma 102 Training 833 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, United StatesDescription: Building on basic understanding of trauma, this course introduces the principles of trauma-informed care as implemented in a Peer Support relationship. We include strategies and introduction to specific tools for supporting service recipients’ recovery from trauma, as well as strategies for managing vicarious trauma among peer service providers. This training will include the opportunity to begin to practice relevant trauma-informed skills. This course will be held virtually via Zoom.

Overdose Prevention and Reversal Training
*Trigger Warning*: This training involves detailed discussions of drug use, overdoses, and demonstrations on how to use Narcan. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov This training provides background information and data on opioid use, Philadelphia's drug supply, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone, or Narcan. PMHCC Case Management will be available to provide screenings to individuals who need support and resources for Substance Use and/or Mental Health services.
