Caregivers Appreciation Day

The focus of this year’s event is Promoting Physical and Mental Health. CCTC is supporting this event and will be providing screenings and resources.

AKA Omega Omega Chapter in collaboration with the Community College of Philadelphia will be hosting a Black Maternal Health Drive. JFK Behavioral Health will be participating and will provide free Behavioral Health Screening along with resources for well-being.

Philadelphia Health Matters
A day of Empowerment, Connection and Self-Care Join us for a FREE one-day conference at Temple University in Philadelphia with keynote speaker Poet and Advocate LeDerick Horne. Families will learn essential evidence-based tips to support a child’s development of skills like self-advocacy and self-determination. Families will also be given tools to elevate their own self-care and make connections to vital local organizations and resources.

Overdose Prevention and Reversal Training
*Trigger Warning*: This training involves detailed discussions of drug use, overdoses, and demonstrations on how to use Narcan. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov This training provides background information and data on opioid use, Philadelphia's drug supply, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone, or Narcan.
