Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training

This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) identify as having behavioral health challenges (mental health and/or substance use). A CPS supports others in their recovery process. This relationship between peers is one of mutual trust and respect moving toward a more meaningful life in recovery.
