This is an annual event that is in honor of the people in the USA that have been affected by the gun violence. Philly wear Orange is the theme.
2nd Annual United for Safety CGRC Anti-violence and wellness event
CELEBRATE START OF SUMMER with free food from Delco Steaks, bouncy castle, carnival games and activities! Our theme - United for Safety - seeks to provide families with a anti-violence resources and wellness fair featuring CGRC's community partners and legislative representatives that work decrease violence and increase wellness in Southwest Philadelphia. This year we will also have speakers presenting on topics to help the community and parents stay informed about reducing violence for at risk youth.

Rainbow De Colores Festival
The Rainbow de Colores Friends group is a vibrant collective in our community that has been working to revitalize the Rainbow de Colores Handball Court, located on the 2300 block of 5th Street in Philadelphia. Over the past 15 years, with the help of community stakeholders, city agencies, and dedicated residents, the park has been transformed into a safe and thriving recreational space for the neighborhood. The event will feature handball tournaments, resident gatherings, games and activities, and educational workshops for children and parents.
One Philly Budget Town Halls Hosted by Mayor Parker
On March 14, 2024, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker made her FY25 One Philly budget address in City Council chambers. Now, she will be hitting the road alongside City officials for a One Philly Budget Town Hall Tour across Philadelphia from Saturday, April 27, 2024 through Tuesday, June 4, 2024 to provide transparency and allow community engagement in the City of Philadelphia’s budget process.
