Mass Incarceration and Reparations; The Cost to Black Women
This summit is based on the groundbreaking book by author Tasseli Mckay; Stolen Wealth Hidden Power; The Case for Reparations for Mass Incarceration which broadens the current national dialogue on reparations owed to the many of African descent who have been impacted by mass/generational incarceration. It challenges American society to look at the historical decimation and economic loss to families and communities of African descent geopolitically located in a centuries continual systemic space/role of confinement, containment, and imprisonment.
Senior Expo in the Second Senate District
In collaboration w State Senator Christine Tartaglione, the Second Second District will be launching the Senior Expo to empower the Older constituents in the 2nd District by providing them with information about issues that are important to them and the services that are available through an aide range of public and private providers, Historically, hundreds of seniors and their caregivers attend these events and are grateful for the information and help they receive. NECCBH will be providing Behavioral Health Screenings.
