June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.

The City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS) and HealthyMindsPhilly stand proudly with all Philadelphians and support their right to take pride in who they are!

We also recognize that standing up and owning who you are can sometimes be a difficult or traumatic experience. If that was your experience, we want you to know: It's OK to not be OK. You're not alone. We are here to help.

DBHIDS is dedicated to educating, strengthening, and serving individuals and communities so that all Philadelphians can thrive.

Happy Pride, Indeed!

"I have had my share of growth around identity. As an immigrant first, a member of the LGBTQ+ communities, and a person in recovery – the times I felt most able to thrive and succeed were when those around me would engage with me in a way that it was clear they were open to learning." Why Pronouns Are Important

When we use the correct pronouns, we show someone appreciation and respect. And when we do not use the right pronouns, we may hurt someone’s feelings and make them feel like we don’t like or understand them.
