Free Mental Health Training
for Professionals in the Workplace
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training increases the level of baseline knowledge about mental health and substance abuse issues. The program seeks to decrease the negative perceptions often associated with these themes. Employees interact with a number of people throughout the day, regardless of workplace setting, from colleagues to managers, customers to community members. When employees understand Mental Health First Aid, it can increase their confidence to engage a colleague in crisis and offer resources.
MHFA provides a complement to existing Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) in helping employees work through life challenges that may negatively affect job performance. MHFA helps reduce employee absences related to mental health issues, and helps employees be present and productive in their jobs.
This training is for companies and organizations of all sizes in Philadelphia. Register online for an available community training or request a group training at your places of business.
