SUMMARY:CPS Supervisor's Virtual Training
DESCRIPTION:This 12-hour course lays the foundation of Supervision in a Peer Support Environment\, grounded in understanding of CPS roles and Recovery Values. This course includes SAMHSA’s Core Competencies of Peer Support\, OMHSAS Standards of Supervision for Peer Support\, Kadushin’s Social Work model on the Functions of Supervision\, Reflective Supervision basics\, and examines Trauma-informed principles in a supervisory context. SUMMARY:UrStorytellers Storytelling Training
DESCRIPTION:Storytelling is a training that is facilitated by UrStorytellers and in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many training’s that has been approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue goals of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This 4 hr training is delivered in a power point format\, interactive activities also enhance this training. At the conclusion of the training\, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
