DESCRIPTION:Storytelling is a training that is facilitated by UrStorytellers and in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many training’s that has been approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue goals of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This 4 hr training is delivered in a power point format\, interactive activities also enhance this training. At the conclusion of the training\, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
