Virtual Peer Career Fair

The DBHIDS Certified Peer Specialist Technical Assistance program and the Peer Culture and Community Inclusion unit will host a career fair Thursday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. The career fair will give Certified Peer Specialists, Certified Recovery Specialists, Certified Autism Peer Specialists, and all other peers with lived experience an opportunity to connect with employers that have positions available in Philadelphia. Participants will learn about multiple companies virtually and have direct access to employers. There will also be opportunities to speak one-on-one with employers in virtual breakout rooms.


Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group [ Online / By Phone ] – Methodist Hospital

The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group seeks to help loss survivors cope, connect, and work toward healing. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know firsthand how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. The group is open to anyone 18 years or older who is grieving a loss due to suicide. The group is free and confidential. Overdose Awareness and Reversal Training

In response to COVID-19, the Substance Use Prevention & Harm Reduction Division (SUPHR) will be offering a live virtual overdose awareness and reversal training that will cover the basics of reversing an opioid overdose and additional COVID-19 risk reduction tips. Those who register & provide a shipping address can receive Narcan mailed to them after the training. If you have health insurance or are a well-resourced person, please consider paying for naloxone on your own, as this allows us to reserve our supply for those in our community who have the least access.
