SUMMARY:Engaging Women and Girls of Color (EWGOC) Virtual Wellness: Maternal Health\, Mortality and Promoting Wellness
DESCRIPTION:Women and girls of color in Philadelphia face significant health disparities driven by social determinants of health including limited access to quality care\, unsafe environments\, financial barriers\, and unequal treatment. These inequities contribute to higher rates of maternal mortality\, chronic disease\, mental and behavioral health challenges\, and increased vulnerability to human trafficking. \nThe Engaging Women and Girls of Color Virtual Wellness Series is a quarterly online event designed to address these gaps by creating a safe\, supportive space for connection\, learning\, and resource sharing. The first session will focus on maternal health and mortality\, offering expert insights\, advocacy strategies\, and practical tools to support the physical and behavioral well‑being of women and girls of color. \nThe first session\, “Maternal Health\, Mortality and Promoting Wellness\,” will take place March 18\, from noon to 1 p.m.\nAll are welcome to join this important conversation.
