DESCRIPTION:DIVERSITY PD is excited to host a FREE event designed for families of color living in the Philadelphia region to learn about and navigate a diagnosis of Parkinson’s or cognitive challenges. Movement disorder specialists experts in memory and cognition social workers rehab professionals and faith-based and community advocates will facilitate community conversations while providing resources education and info. The event is made possible through the generous support from the Davis Phinney Foundation. \nWhile we welcome everyone we are specifically interested in providing information and resources to communities that have been under-resourced under-represented and under-diagnosed. The goal of our 4-year collaboration is to ensure that people of color have a barrier-free pathway to high-quality Parkinson’s care and services in the Philadelphia region.
