Take Back the Night
First Unitarian Church 2125 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, United StatesThis event raises awareness and provides community support around sexual, domestic, and interpersonal violence. The event begins at 6pm with a march (from 36th and Chestnut) to the First Unitarian church. Once there, there is a street action to increase education around the cause and the importance of consent. After this there is an open speak out session where survivors and supporters are able to break the silence that often follows these experiences. We will be doing panel discussions on drug abuse, violence and discrimination towards LGBTQI people. Trans youth issues, homelessness, education, etc. This event aims to network, educate, and provide health, mental illness, and HIV prevention information to the events attendees. Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training
Zion Baptist Church 3600 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, United StatesStorytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS).
