  • Take Back the Night

    This event raises awareness and provides community support around sexual, domestic, and interpersonal violence. The event begins at 6pm with a march (from 36th and Chestnut) to the First Unitarian church. Once there, there is a street action to increase education around the cause and the importance of consent. After this there is an open speak out session where survivors and supporters are able to break the silence that often follows these experiences.     This is a FREE event to the public. We will be doing panel discussions on drug abuse, violence and discrimination towards LGBTQI people. Trans youth issues, homelessness, education, etc. This event aims to network, educate, and provide health, mental illness, and HIV prevention information to the events attendees. Comhar will support this event providing free and confidential Behavioral Health screening and resources for well being.

  • Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training

    Storytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist.
