Sakinah in the City 2026: Healing Together – Faith, Wellness & Belonging.

Luzerne Street, Philadelphia, United StatesThe theme, Healing Together: Faith, Wellness & Belonging, reflects our collective desire to address the realities of violence, isolation, division, grief, and growing mental health challenges while highlighting the importance of community care, belonging, partnership, and access to support. Throughout the day, participants will engage conversations on youth wellness, family relationships, community safety, reentry, faith leadership, accountability, and access to care. The summit will also launch Connected for Care: A Masjid Mental Wellness Partnership Initiative, a new effort designed to strengthen relationships between Philadelphia mosques and trusted mental wellness professionals.

Celebration of Life 2026: Recovery, Hope & Healing
The Faith and Spiritual Affairs Unit will host a 90-minute virtual Celebration of Life during National Suicide Prevention Month focused on recovery as an essential component of suicide prevention. The event will feature a moderated panel discussion with individuals who have lived experience, faith leaders, and behavioral health professionals who will discuss recovery from suicidal thoughts, recovery following suicide attempts, and the important role faith and community play in healing. Participants will also have an opportunity to share reflections and personal stories in a respectful and supportive environment.
