The largest free trans-specific health conference in the world. The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is a community-lead, community-focussed space to educate and empower the trans community alongside providers and allies alike on all things health and wellness. The conference aims to create an accessible, safe, and affirming environment for the trans community, recognizing the intersections with race, sexuality, disability, neurodiversity, religion, and class. For the first time, in response to the impact of the Pandemic, the PTWC will be held virtually. The mission of PTWC in the largest sense is to empower trans individuals on issues of health and well-being. The PTWC also recognizes the need for expertise surrounding trans health & wellness to rise from within the community, rather than be paternalistically granted to us from cis-lead organizations. Simultaneously the conference aims to educate allies and health service providers, and facilitate networking, community-building, and systemic change. We strive to create an accessible and respectful environment that is inclusive of diverse identities and expressions.
