SUMMARY:Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training
DESCRIPTION:Storytelling is a training facilitated by UrStorytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This training will be 4 hrs. in length\, delivered in a PowerPoint format\, and interactive activities enhance this training. After the conclusion of the training\, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Together – Sponsors\, Team Fundraisers\, Volunteers and Walkers – will show the world that Recovery is Possible\, and that we can all play a key role in achieving our vision of Transforming Lives Through Sustained Recovery. Registration begins at 8AM\, the formal program begins at 9AM\, and the walk starts at 10AM and will last until around 11.
