Community Support Program of Philadelphia Monthly Meeting – Hybrid (Online & In-Person)

Join the Community Support Program of Philadelphia for the monthly meeting where we invite different agencies, organizations, companies, and people within the community to discuss resources and information within the community. We plan to meet every month on the second Tuesday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Refreshments will be provided at the in-person meetings. Due to the pandemic, we are providing the meeting in both in-person and virtual. If you are planning to attend in person, the meeting will be held at 4200 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19129. Working with people who are facing a choice about their health and well-being? Motivational interviewing is an effective communication style with broad application that helps people make difficult lifestyle changes. It can be used both in single situations or in situations where you see someone multiple times. Motivational Interviewing 101 ( Motivational Interviewing 201: Let's Practice Tuesday, May 24, 2022 is 1:00-2:30 PM) Motivational Interviewing techniques support a collaborative conversation to strengthen a person’s own motivation for and commitment to change. This workshop will be an introductory course in Motivational Interviewing. We will discuss the benefits of utilizing this conversational tool as a best practice for trauma informed approaches that support relationships and engagement.
