Bethesda Project’s Virtual Home Run 5K

Join Bethesda Project during the weekend of October 7th-10th for our Home Run 5K 2021, a virtual 3.1-mile race that you can walk, run, or bike a course of your choice. And, whether you run the Home Run 5K individually or as a team, we can ensure people have a place to run home - together. All funds raised though this event supports Bethesda Project’s essential programs and services for those experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Registration is $25 and the first 50 individuals to register will receive a free t-shirt. Participants can register up until October 10, 2021 at Individuals planning to run as a team must email prior to registration to receive $5 off their registration fee.


UrStorytellers Online Storytelling Training

Storytelling Through Health and Wellness is a training that is facilitated by UrStorytellers and in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many training's that has been approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue goals of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist.

PATH OFFERING WELLNESS AND DEPRESSION SCREENING AT: HEALTH CENTER #10 2230 COTTMAN AVENUE PHILADELPHIA, PA 19149 PATH (People Acting To Help), Inc. will be providing free Wellness and Depression screenings on Thursday October 7th, 2021, from 10am to 2pm. The screening is free, anonymous, and open to all members of the Philadelphia community, and is part of National Depression Screening Day. To participate, individuals can drop by the Health Center on October 7th between 10am and 2pm and mention that they are interested in a free depression screening. They will then complete a brief screening and, in just a few minutes, will learn whether they might be experiencing behavioral symptoms of depression. PATH staff will be available to answer any questions the person may have and provide referral/resource information if the person would like to receive treatment for depression. At PATH, we believe that an individual’s understanding of their behavioral health is a key part of maintaining their overall health; identifying signs and symptoms of behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use) challenges is an important part of this process. Roxborough – National Depression Screening Day at Journey’s Way

Clinical Staff of the Greenridge Counseling Center will provide onsite in-person mental health screenings to interested individuals at Journey's Way Senior Center in Roxborough. Clinician will be on hand to answer questions and to provide resources and referrals. Given the impact of COVID on our mental health and wellbeing, we encourage everyone to take a few moments out of their day to complete a "check up from the neck up!"
