The largest free trans-specific health conference in the world. The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is a community-lead, community-focussed space to  educate and empower the trans community alongside providers and allies alike on all things health and wellness.The conference aims to create an accessible, safe, and affirming environment for the trans community, recognizing the intersections with race, sexuality, disability, neurodiversity, religion, and class. For the first time, in response to the impact of the Pandemic, the PTWC will be held virtually. The mission of PTWC in the largest sense is to empower trans individuals on issues of health and well-being. The PTWC also recognizes the need for expertise surrounding trans health & wellness to rise from within the community, rather than be paternalistically granted to us from cis-lead organizations. Simultaneously the conference aims to educate allies and health service providers, and facilitate networking, community-building, and systemic change. We strive to create an accessible and respectful environment that is inclusive of diverse identities and expressions.

Join us as we promote Unity and Prevention. A day filled with fun, information and activities. Street cleaning. Meet with representatives and obtain information on Domestic Violence, Mental Health, Anti- violence and Safety Planning, free Behavioral health screening. Enjoy music, barbeque grilled food, Arts and Crafts activities for small children, free clothes and shoes. Malvern Community Behavioral Health will partner to provide behavioral health screenings.

Philadelphia Trans-Wellness Conference 2021 (virtual) hosted by Mazzoni Center

Mazzoni Center’s Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference (PTWC) is the largest transgender health conference in the world. PTWC was founded by Charlene Arcila who was aided by countless community members, to bring the conference to life, year after year. The mission of the PTWC is to educate and empower trans individuals on issues of health and wellness, recognizing the need for expertise surrounding trans health & wellness to rise from within the community. The conference this year will be virtual. Mental health screenings will be provided along with discussion of mental health resources on the third day (Saturday) from 11:00am - 2:00pm via telehealth. A link will be provided to conference attendees.

Upcoming Peace of Mind | Mental Health Screening Day hosted by THE PLACE OF REFUGE in association with the “Kensington Wins - Jesus Week” activities (7/17-7/25)—will take place during the McPherson Square Park Cleanup scheduled for this Saturday!! Refuge will have tables set up outdoors near the playground at McPherson Square Park from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at 601 E. Indiana Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134—at the corner of Kensington & Indiana Ave. Free to the public! This bilingual, mental health wellness event will be a chance to drop by and check-in with a professional counselor! If you ever wondered about counseling for yourself or someone close to you—then this is a great way to find out more! In connection with the cleanup scheduled all afternoon—Refuge will be conducting free, on-the-spot, mental health screenings and will have two of their Master’s level therapists available to meet with you and go over your results right away. Screenings will be available in English and Spanish, and they will be sharing information about common mental health challenges and wellness resources.
