Storytelling Through Health and Wellness is a training that is facilitated by UrStorytellers and in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many training's that has been approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue goals of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This training is delivered by Zoom online, power point format and interactive activities that enhance this training. At the conclusion of the training, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
The Mastery Charter School Pickett Campus “Day of Healing” will offer our students and families in-person, Trauma Informed workshops focused on giving youth a safe space to express themselves and their losses in a variety of ways.
A virtual group to discuss the specific roles/identities society has regulated Black women to fit which often results in harmful outcomes. Identify coping mechanisms and process emotions regarding this issue in a group setting Open for Women of Color Led by Dr. Ebony White and Dr. Sam Ware 3/22/2021 session has been cancelled. Group will resume next week as scheduled.
