MindWise Innovations and Riverside Trauma Center – services of Riverside Community Care invite you to attend our 12th annual virtual conference on building strength and resiliency.

Our 2023 event will bring together leaders, employers, health and human service workers, educators, and government officials to discuss how trauma intersects topics such as diversity, equity, productivity, growth, and the humanization of work; while sharing new strategies to help individuals and organizations build resilience and create sustainable models of support and change.

Notable speakers such as Preston Mitchum, Director of Advocacy and Government Affairs, The Trevor Project, Dr. Sheretta Butler-Barnes, Associate Professor of Social Work at Washington University, Carmen Rosa Norona, MS. Ed, LICSW, Child Trauma Services & Training Lead, Boston Medical Center, Margaret Blaunstein, Ph.D., Director, Center for Trauma Training, Inc.,, and more, will be talking about:

*Roadmap to Resilience: The Critical Role of Strength-Based Assets in the Lives of Black Youth, where our speakers will demonstrate how to use an empowerment and culturally responsive lens in working with Black youth following the COVID 19 pandemic;

*Shifting the Lens for Childhood Trauma Treatment: Cultivating Resilience, where our speakers will highlight the ways that stress shapes developmental pathways; reframe the role and function of problematic behaviors; highlight the critical importance of engaging from a stance of strength and empowerment; highlight core developmental capacities that support resilient outcomes; and

*Mitigating the Impact of Trauma for Individuals, Families, and Communities, where our panel of clinicians will share the ways in which they help people build resilience, and cope and respond after experiencing a wide range of difficult events.
