Storytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform recovery and faith-based communities how to share their stories and why sharing them in community settings matters. This training will be 4 hrs. in length, delivered in a PowerPoint format, and interactive activities enhance this training. After the conclusion of the training, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.
