Trauma-Informed Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (T-MBSR)

Philadelphia’s FIRST and ONLY Trauma-informed MBSR program: a student-centered experience, focused on fostering personal growth and healing through mindfulness. Trauma-informed MBSR integrates findings from clinical research trials, recent neuroscience findings, nationwide statistics and individual expertise. We carefully reproduced the traditional MBSR model to be trauma-informed: safe yet still effective, ultimately leading to greater, more widespread self-efficacy and positive transformation.
This 8-Week Series is from March 10th – April 28th, 2019. It is Sundays from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
Tuition: Early Bird registration (register by 3/1)= $210. Registration (after 3/1) = $250. 10% Discount for Studio 34 teachers.
About the Developers
Jessica Pavelka, MS, LPC, NCC, RYT is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Meditation and Yoga teacher with a private practice located in Philadelphia. Her research and clinical work in mental health and holistic healing began in 2009. Trained by University of Pennsylvania, The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and by Dr. Lorin Roche, she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Meditation to treat anxiety and mood disorders. Brandon R. Everett, RN, BSN, CMT. Brandon’s own experience of burnout and depression led him to the practice of mindfulness meditation. At the conclusion of attending an 8-week MBSR, amazed at the simplicity of the practice but the profundity of its effect he resolved to do whatever training was necessary to share the practice with others. In the fall of 2017 he completed a 2-year, 900-hour Meditation Teacher Training. He teaches at yoga & meditation centers, as well as hospitals and non-profits, throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey.
