The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is a program of Mazzoni Center. This free conference offers three full days of workshops and activities focused on the health and well-being of transgender people and their communities.
The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is all about community. It was started 17 years ago by Charlene Arcila, and has grown to bcome one of the largest FREE trans-specific conferences in the world.
The General Track of the Trans Wellness Conference provides workshops over a three-day period. It was created to educate and empower transgender individuals on issues of health and well-being, and educate and inform allies and health service providers, and to facilitate networking and community building.
The City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services is proud to sponsor the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference. PTWC is an annual, community-led event dedicated to educating service providers, allies and community members on the health and wellbeing of transgender and gender nonconforming individuals and communities. It is the largest event of its kind in the world.
The conference features dozens of workshops, panels, lectures and presentations by community leaders and experts. Some of this year’s sessions include:

PTWC is free and open to the public. Continuing education units are available for behavioral health, medical and legal professionals for an additional cost.
