Screening of Pennhurst Documentary and Panel Discussion

In honor of Developmental disAbilities Awareness Month, DBHIDS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in collaboration with Intellectual disAbility Services, will host a screening of the Pennhurst documentary to increase awareness and advocacy and promote equitable support and training for our workforce and community.
Participants will view the documentary and attend a panel discussion to learn and preserve the history of individuals with lived experience, support workers, and family members.

Prerequisite: Please view the 18-minute, short documentary: Visionary Voices | Leaders Lessons Legacy, which will provide a background on the history of the Pennhurst facility and Pennsylvania’s Intellectual Disability Rights Movement.
