Building Brotherhood Discussion (Healing the Wounds of Trauma & Violence)

February 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), Engaging Males of Color (EMOC) Initiative, and Mural Arts Philadelphia in an important conversation about the ways that men and boys of color can heal from the trauma and violence in their lives.

Using the themes of unity, history, and bonding from the EMOC mural Building Brotherhood as a foundation, panelists and participants will share their thoughts, concerns, and resolutions on safety and mental wellness after a year which saw the highest number of murders in Philadelphia in a decade. Resource tables will be available.

This event will serve as the launch for a series of town halls addressing trauma and violence, which will be held city-wide by DBHIDS.
