Join the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) for a virtual conversation between notable artists focusing on the power of public art. This dialogue will explore the impact of the Harriet Tubman \u2013 The Journey to Freedom statue and other public art in Philadelphia; how public art can effectively tell our histories; and how we can evaluate our public art to ensure it reflects the values of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

The discussion will be moderated by the City\u2019s Public Art Director, Marguerite Anglin, in conversation with Hank Willis Thomas, Ife Nii Owoo, Talia Greene, Marsha Reid, and Wesley Wofford, the artist of Harriet Tubman \u2013 The Journey to Freedom.Participants will see examples of panelists\u2019 work and hear them discuss how public art can honor our legacies while impacting our current interpretation of these stories.
