DESCRIPTION:DBHIDS invites you to join us as we get back to basics in hearing and understanding differently every person’s communication styles for a time to explore that “Everyone Communicates!” \nJessica Stover\, MS\, Assistive Technology Practitioner of Networks for Training and Development\, Inc. is the Director of Training and Consultation and has been supporting people who express themselves in different ways for nearly 20 years. She\, along with her co-workers at Networks\, take the stance that every person is communicating and expressing themselves all the time. \nWe just need to listen differently. \nThis session will explore essential strategies and skill sets to support every person to be heard and their communication methods better understood. Jessica is a Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of America certified Assistive Technology Practitioner and will bring her enthusiasm\, passion\, and years of experience to our time together. \nWe will explore and have Ah-HA! moments as we dig in deeper for a more conscious listening and reflective support style.
