SUMMARY:Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS) and the Philadelphia System of Care (PSOC) is celebrating Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week (May 1-7) with Blanche A. Nixon/Cobbs Creek Library on May 2\, 2022. \nA Mindfulness Storytime will take place as the use of songs and books that have the youth do different yoga style stretches\, or instruct in breathing exercises and mindfulness exercises in a fun way. Themed around\, “Emotions and Mindfulness”\, this will include books about emotions or social/emotional skills. Also a book giveaway\, books donated by Tree House Books. \nGemma Services will be providing behavioral health screenings.
